The Story Line
"Emmaline
and the
Archangel"

Emmaline is brought back after taking her own life by Michael the Archangel to present a recipe for carrot cake to the audience.  There is a deeper motivation here that goes beyond the recipe for carrot cake; it is to present the recipe for going on with one's life when all appears hopeless.  At the age of nineteen, she took her own life and the presentation is being done for her to make atonement for that drastic act.   Her "karmic restitution" takes the form of saving another who is going down the same path she did.  That person is Byron who is attending the performance with a group of marines that all share PTSD, and are struggling to live normal lives.

Much of the story is told and highlighted through the rock music venue, all songs written by William R. D'Andrea.   Through songs dramatic flashbacks, Emmaline relates the significant events that led to her tragic decision, as the Archangel points out the alternatives she had but didn't recognize during her life.

The influence of the darker forces, Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Maku, is exerting force against the living.  The play establishes evil spirits as a real influence in this plane of existence.

The biggest question concerning consciousness is where does it abide. Is consciousness an attribute of the "brain" or the "soul"? When some people take their own lives they believe the former, and think their consciousness will be extinguished at the moment of brain death. This is not correct; consciousness is the essence of the soul!  Love is a quality of the soul, not the brain.

Examine the nature of your consciousness as you read on. Your brain recognizes the words from your eyes, and understands their verbal meaning. But as you read, there is a part that is evaluating and either rejecting or accepting their essence. You see a character in a movie, play, or in life. You react to this person, first through either liking or disliking him, or her. Seeing and hearing them is the function of the brain, the liking or disliking them is the matter for the soul.

What is the nature of consciousness? What if its essence is akin to a radio wave, a light ray, or a television beam? We are learning so much about a multi-
dimensional universe through science, that nothing is outside the realm of possibility. That possibility is enough to "go out on a limb", and seek out the proof for immortality.
